By using SVCDispatch, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully. If you don't agree, you may not use the platform.
1. Overview
SVCDispatch ("we," "us," "the Platform") is a marketplace connecting consumers with independent service professionals ("Technicians"). We are not a contractor or service provider. We provide the technology platform, escrow, and dispute resolution infrastructure.
2. Eligibility
- You must be 18 years of age or older to use SVCDispatch
- You must provide accurate, complete registration information
- Technicians must hold all required licenses and insurance for their trade
- One account per person — creating duplicate accounts is prohibited
3. Escrow and Payment
Diagnostic Fee: Collected when a job is booked. Released to the Technician after the diagnostic visit regardless of whether the repair proceeds.
Repair Payment: Collected when a Consumer approves a repair estimate. Held in escrow until the Consumer confirms work completion, a dispute is resolved, or the 48-hour auto-confirm window expires — whichever comes first.
Auto-Confirm: If a Consumer takes no action within 48 hours of a Technician marking work complete, funds are automatically released to the Technician. Consumers will receive reminders at 24 hours and 6 hours before release.
Platform Fee: SVCDispatch charges Technicians a 10% fee on each completed transaction. Consumers are not charged a platform fee beyond the prices shown.
4. Dispute Resolution
Consumers may file a dispute within 48 hours of a Technician marking work complete. Disputes are reviewed by SVCDispatch mediators who will:
- Review evidence submitted by both parties
- Issue a binding ruling within 5 business days
- Direct Stripe to release funds according to the ruling
Rulings may be appealed within 5 days by contacting support. SVCDispatch's final decision is binding and may not be further appealed.
5. Prohibited Conduct
- Circumventing the platform to pay or receive payment directly (off-platform transactions)
- Providing false information during onboarding or in disputes
- Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users
- Creating fake reviews or manipulating the ratings system
- Using the platform for any illegal purpose
6. Technician Obligations
Technicians agree to: maintain all required licenses and insurance; perform work as described in approved estimates; not sub-contract work without consumer consent; and comply with all applicable building codes and permit requirements.
7. Limitation of Liability
SVCDispatch is not liable for the quality of work performed by Technicians, property damage during service visits, or losses exceeding the escrow amount for the relevant transaction. Our liability is limited to the greater of $100 or the platform fees paid in the prior 12 months.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We'll notify registered users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Text Messages (SMS)
By providing and verifying your mobile number and turning on SMS alerts in Account Settings, you agree to receive text messages from SVCDispatch about your account and your jobs (verification codes, appointment, estimate, payment and dispute updates). Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of using the platform. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Our Privacy Policy explains how your mobile number is used; it is not shared with third parties for marketing.
